Harboes Bryggeri in West Zealand and around the world
Harboes Bryggeri is domiciled in Skælskør, the same place where the business was established in 1883. In 1957, Harboes Bryggeri was converted into a public limited company, and throughout the 1970s, the brewery expanded strongly. In 1989, the company was floated on the Stock Exchange, which provided the basis for further expansion. In recent decades, Harboes Bryggeri has enjoyed steady growth and today the Group is an attractive, forward-looking workplace, locally and internationally.
The Group comprises three breweries: Harboes Bryggeri, Denmark; Darguner Brauerei, Germany; Viru Õlu, Estonia – as well as the Harboefarm food company. Altogether, the Group exports products to more than 30 countries around the world.
The breweries produce traditional beer and refreshing soft drinks. We maintain constant focus on development, innovation and new ways of doing things. This is why we always strive to create new products and develop our production methods in order to generate the growth and innovation we need to secure our place at the forefront of our field on into the future. Our product range keeps up with the times and we are proud to be one of Denmark’s leading suppliers of beer and refreshing soft drinks.
Harboes Bryggeri is solidly anchored in the local community. This is why we support local sports clubs, for instance, to profile the company and play a part in the community. For many years now, we have provided sponsorship for football, badminton, team handball, sailing, town fêtes, music festivals and much more besides.
We wish to continue on into the future these proud traditions that have characterised the company for 125 years. In future, as a Purveyor to the Royal Danish Court.
The brewery business, which dates from 1883, produces beer and refreshing soft drinks – mineral water, soft drinks and juice, all with the retail trade as primary market segment both in the local markets and in the export markets. The brewery also produces malt extract, which is sold notably to the baking industry in many parts of Europe.
